Best practice in telecare services, Thursday, February 4, 2010, 10.00 - 3.30
This course will enable telecare service providers to devise attractive and sustainable services. The first part of the course considers the outcomes of service audits and how they can be used to improve service provision and cost-effectiveness. The second part considers future developments in telehealthcare and how new applications in Lifestyle Monitoring and pro-active calling might enable services to be expanded so that they become important to more groups of people.

Personalised Budgets and Telecare, Thursday 18 March, 10.00 - 3.30 and Wednesday 9 June (times TBA), 2010
The course considers how the move to personalised or individualised budget will effect telecare service provision in the UK. We will consider the processes by which the scheme is administered and how this will impact on how telecare is promoted and costed. We will also consider how you might make your telecare service attractive to service users so that they choose it rather than some other option.

Getting to the University of York
The Psychology Building is marked on the maps available here. As there is only one post code for the whole university campus a sat nav may not bring you to the right part of the campus. When travelling in a car, you need to enter the university by the Heslington Lane entrance (Goodricke Way). This is the first turn after Fulford Golf Club (YO10 5DY), left if you are heading east towards Heslington village.
When travelling by train get a taxi from the station and ask for the Psychology Building at the University of York
