CUHTec Home Lab and Courses
Our Home Lab and courses are located in the Department of Computer Science on the new Heslington East campus at the University of York.
To find us by car
Follow the outer ring road (A64 on the south and east sides of the city, A1237 on the north and west) to the junction with the Hull/Bridlington roads (A1079/A166). Turn off at the exit marked University and follow the signs towards the city centre, past Grimston Bar park and ride. Take a left turn at the roundabout marked University and at the next roundabout take the first left turn onto the Heslington East campus. If you are using sat nav, YO10 5JL will take you to Field Lane, near the entrance to the new campus.
Parking
Parking is very limited on the Heslington East Campus. The car park has a barrier system with a charge of £6 per day for parking. If you require a disabled parking space, please contact Jenny Parry, CUHTec Administrator at cuhtec@psych.york.ac.uk before your visit.
From York Railway Station
Please make it clear to the taxi driver that you wish to go to Heslington East campus, which is the new campus. As a taxi from the station to the campus costs around £10 to £12 each way, you may wish to consider using the very frequent bus services. Both the number 4 and number 44 run from outside York railway station every 10 to 15 minutes. The number 4 will bring you to the edge of Heslington East campus and the number 44 will bring you directly to the Computer Science building. Please do make sure with the driver before you get off that you are at Heslington East. These buses cost £2 return.
