YPR offers consultancy research across most areas of Human Computer Interaction, specialising in usability evaluation. We offer a full range of research solutions including literature searches, experimental design, data analysis, user evaluation, focus groups and ethnography.
Previous research has included ethnographic assessments of the use of digital television and remote communication technologies; experimental evaluation of video conferencing; the design of self service Web kiosks; and understanding the use of digital media.
The principal researcher for YPR is Dr David Grayson. David completed his PhD at the University of Glasgow in the Multimedia Communications Group in 2000. Research specialities include remote communication, video conferencing, mobile devices and the use of home entertainment technology.
Also trained in NLP, David has interpersonal skills that are particularly valuable when interviewing users and understanding their needs.
